For customers outside the EU who have orders destined for locations within the EU, VIM offers an efficient Break Bulk solution. Your company processes the B2B or B2C orders itself using our carrier portal, allowing shipping labels to be affixed to the packages. These individual orders are then sent to VIM as one large shipment, also known as a “mother shipment” (a box or pallet). Upon arrival, VIM breaks open the mother shipment and hands over the individual packages to the carriers. The labels you affixed are activated upon receipt by an entry scan, making Track & Trace immediately available for your customers.
For customers within the EU who have orders destined for locations outside the EU (such as the US or the UK), VIM takes care of the complete processing of your B2B or B2C orders. All orders destined for locations outside the EU are consolidated into one large shipment (box or pallet). For shipments to the UK, we already affix the shipping labels to the packages, while in the US, our local partner takes on this task. Our partner in the UK or the US then breaks open the mother shipment (in the US, labels are placed on the packages) and hands over the individual shipments to the local carriers. This process ensures smooth and efficient handling of your international shipments, with Track & Trace immediately available as soon as the packages enter the logistics network.
