At VIM, we have over 50,000 m² of warehouse space (2024) in the Netherlands and the UK, and we collaborate with warehouse partners in China and North America. Our warehouses specialize in the fashion, sports, and lifestyle industries, allowing us to efficiently handle a wide range of processes in these sectors. With our global expertise, we are able to serve the entire industry.
Whether it’s our own (3PL) or partner (4PL) warehouses, VIM ensures seamless administrative support, IT assistance, and management by our experienced team. We understand that flexibility is essential in logistics; therefore, we offer flexible solutions for our customers within our warehouses. This means you are not tied to fixed space for many years, but can adjust your warehouse space according to your needs, whether you want to scale up or down.
Our warehouse solutions are designed to meet your specific needs, whether you require temporary storage, e-fulfillment services, or complete supply chain solutions.
Do you utilize multiple sales channels such as Bol.com, eBay, or physical stores alongside your own online platform? Our advanced e-warehousing system offers integrated connections that allow you to manage all your orders in one overview. Thanks to these connections, you can easily switch between your e-commerce platforms from our system, enabling you to work more efficiently and enhance the customer experience. This ultimately results in higher customer satisfaction.
Our e-warehousing system enables automated data exchange between different companies, regardless of the brand or type of software they use. With this seamless integration of multiple platforms, our system allows you to maximize the benefits of your multi-platform strategy.
Bonded warehouse for customs warehouse and import duties
Instead of direct clearance of goods upon arrival in the EU, VIM can store your goods in a certified bonded warehouse (customs warehouse). Here, goods can be stored indefinitely without having to pay import duties and VAT. When the final recipient is located outside the EU, the goods can be customs bonded (T1) from the customs warehouse to the recipient’s country. This means that customs duties and VAT are only paid upon entry into the destination country, preventing double payments.
Financial and tax benefits
The Netherlands offers companies a favorable trading environment with an attractive tax and business climate. Distribution via VIM in Limburg, the Netherlands, provides multiple benefits, including an attractive VAT rate and favorable import duties.
VAT transfer on import in The Netherlands
VAT transfer means that you do not have to pay VAT immediately upon importing goods. Instead, the VAT is transferred to your VAT return, meaning you only pay it once the goods are sold. Here’s how it works: you declare the VAT upon import but do not pay it immediately. When you sell the goods, you offset the import VAT against the VAT you charge on the sale. This creates a cash flow advantage, as you only pay the VAT when you actually generate income from the sale.
Outsourcing the E-Fulfillment process
From the arrival of your goods at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport or in the Port of Rotterdam, we take care of the entire process for you. This includes customs clearance, transport, storage, labeling, order picking, and deliveries to e-commerce companies and consumers in Europe.
Our VIM Golden Floor proces encompasses the efficient handling of pre-ordered seasonal goods from our clients upon receipt, storage, and order processing. This proces, also known as seasonal distribution, is characterized by its quick and targeted approach.
What makes our Golden Floor proces different from regular methods? The goods we receive have already been sold by our clients. This means that as soon as they arrive, they are immediately ready for distribution. Discover in our video how the VIM Golden Floor proces works and why it is the perfect solution for your seasonal logistics needs.
The VIM Silver Floor proces is a different approach in processing your goods receiving storage and order operations, and is specifically designed for the seasonal needs of fashion and sports brands. Fashion and sport brands typically have a specific date on which they release their seasonal collections to their customers. On the Silver Floor, VIM gathers all the items needed to complete the collection within a certain period leading up to the release date. On the date specified by the brand, all the items will be shipped to the end-customers. Deliveries from the suppliers arrive at VIM’s warehouse. Containers are pre-registered, and space on the floor has already been reserved for VIM’s customer.
